Nisargshala is a nature-based learning and outdoor experience centre in the Sahyadris near Pune. The idea is rooted in creating opportunities for children and adults to step outdoors, explore their surroundings and learn through direct experience.
Through nature camps, school experiences, outdoor activities, adventure, stargazing and nature exploration, Nisargshala brings people closer to the landscape while encouraging curiosity, confidence, teamwork and a deeper connection with nature.
From children discovering a forest trail to families spending a night beneath the stars, every experience begins with the same simple invitation: step outside and explore.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe some of the most important lessons begin when we leave the classroom.
Forests, rivers, mountains, open skies and the night sky create opportunities to observe, question, experiment, collaborate and discover.
Our experiences are designed around learning by doing — participating in activities, exploring natural surroundings, taking on challenges and reflecting on what we discover along the way.
The aim is not simply to teach people about nature, but to create experiences that make nature personal, memorable and meaningful.
