A Mandala Art Experience at Nisargshala

Some experiences invite us to slow down, observe closely, and discover the joy of creating something with our own hands.

The Mandala Studio is a two-day, one-night mandala art experience at Nisargshala, nestled in the Sahyadri hills near Pune. Surrounded by nature, participants will explore the beauty of patterns, dots, lines, symmetry and repetition through two distinctive art forms — Dot Mandalas and Pen Mandalas.

Guided personally by Geeta Joshi Brahme, the workshop offers an opportunity to explore mandala art step by step, whether you are discovering it for the first time or already enjoy working with art.

This is an invitation to create without rushing, experiment with patterns, and enjoy the process of making art together.

What will you explore?

Dot Mandalas
Discover how simple dots, colours and repeated patterns come together to create intricate compositions. Learn the basics and gradually develop your own design.

Pen Mandalas
Explore lines, shapes, symmetry and fine details to create expressive mandala patterns using pen.

Nature-inspired Mandalas
Take a closer look at the natural world during a visit to Nisargshala’s Minivet area. Use leaves, flowers and other natural elements as inspiration for your own creative explorations.

A shared creative experience
Parents and children can learn alongside one another, exchange ideas and enjoy making art in a relaxed setting.

Mandala Meditation
End the first day with a quiet guided experience to pause, settle and reflect.

Your facilitator

Geeta Joshi Brahme, Certified Mandala Therapist; will personally guide participants through both Dot Mandalas and Pen Mandalas, helping them understand the techniques and develop their own creative expression.

The Nisargshala experience

The workshop includes an overnight stay in a shared tent, meals, time to enjoy the surroundings and an opportunity to experience art in a setting away from the usual pace of everyday life.

You don’t need to be an artist to participate. Bring your curiosity, an open mind and a willingness to explore.
