Malabar Whistling Thrush

Myophonus horsfieldii
Malabar Whistling Thrush

Among the first voices to greet the morning in Velhe's forests is the unforgettable song of the Malabar Whistling Thrush. Often called the "Whistling Schoolboy", its rich, flute-like notes echo through shaded valleys, forest streams and rocky ravines. Hearing its song before catching a glimpse of the bird is an experience that every nature lover remembers.

Moist evergreen forests, shaded streams, waterfalls and rocky valleys throughout the Velhe landscape.

Behaviour
