Founder

Hemant Vavale is the founder of Nisargshala, with a science background and over two decades of experience in nature education and camp management. He specializes in astronomy, outdoor learning, and experiential programs for children and families. Hemant designs innovative camps that blend hands-on science, environmental awareness, and digital education, making him a respected educator and coordinator.

Kaushal

Co-founder

Kaushal is a technology strategist at Nisargshala with over 25 years of experience in corporate digitization. He uniquely blends technical expertise with a deep love for nature to craft immersive outdoor experiences. Currently, Kaushal focuses on developing specialized digital solutions for education and sustainable waste management, bridging the gap between technology and environmental stewardship.

Anjali

Co-founder

Anjali Maral brings over 25 years of global techno-commercial experience to the team, with a background in Electronics Engineering and IT infrastructure. Having worked across major international markets, she now channels her expertise into sustainability and naturopathy. Anjali actively supports dense tree plantation initiatives, dedicated to inspiring the next generation to live in harmony with nature.

Appa (Ram)

Tales, Tails & Trails

Ram Iyer is a retired Project Director from the Science & Technology Park an initiative of Dept of Sci & Technology, India. With an B.Tech and MBA from the University of Delhi. Getting India back to the roots thru Vedic Science & Technologies; is the mission he is on. Post-retirement, he actively supports Nisargshala's mission, lending his scientific knowledge to nature-based education and stargazing initiatives.

Geeta

Happiness Coach

Geeta Joshi Brahme is a certified Mandala practitioner at Nisargshala with 18 years of experience spanning academia and holistic healing. She holds an M.Phil., and Mandala therapy certification. After 15 years as a Commerce faculty member in Mumbai & Pune, she transitioned to holistic healing. Geeta conducts transformative Mandala Camps that guide participants through emotional healing and creative self-discovery.

Prachi

Instructor

A key member of the team for four years, Prachi brings passion and commitment to her role as a volunteer and instructor at Nisargshala. Her love for traveling and exploring diverse landscapes allows her to connect with nature on a deeper level. During camps, she channels this enthusiasm into mentoring children, creating a supportive environment where young campers can learn, explore, and develop a lasting respect for the outdoors.
